Transcension: Phantom World Locale
Transcension is an officially named Phantom World locale, named in S-GAME's store listing and story summary. No further details have been released.
What is Transcension?
“Memory Flowers, the Wulin and the Discordance, Transcension, the Lady of the Veil, Inanis’ Dreamscape…”
That is the publisher’s own summary of the story, and it is all the official word on Transcension. The Steam store’s about section lists the same name among the names that make up the Phantom World. The name appears, and the sentence places it in the same group as the Wulin and the other Phantom World names.
No second sentence says what Transcension looks like, what stands there, who lives there, or what a player meets inside it. There is no accompanying artwork caption, no trailer title card, and no developer article that treats the place on its own.
The locations overview lists all seven officially named locations and world terms in one table. Transcension’s row reads “Named within the Phantom World” in the published column and “Individual description and map details” in the column for what is still unpublished.
How far do the Phantom World sentences go?
Two sentences in the official store copy describe the Phantom World as a whole. The first is that shifting light and shadow conceal mysteries at every turn. The second is that exploration features hidden passages and mechanisms.
Both are written at the scale of the whole region, and they are the only description the publisher has published for the space Transcension sits in. Nothing in the copy assigns hidden passages, mechanisms, or the shifting light and shadow specifically to Transcension, so reading them as a description of this one locale would add a level of precision the source does not have. The published phrase “dodge, deflect, counter, and strike in one seamless flow” describes the combat system as a whole rather than anything inside Transcension, so it does not narrow down what the locale looks like.
How does Transcension sit inside the sixty-six days?
The confirmed frame around this locale is the sixty-six-day premise. Soul is framed for murdering his master, suffers a devastating wound to the heart, and is left with sixty-six days to live. Alone and hunted, he roams the Wulin to unravel a conspiracy that has ensnored the martial world. That journey runs through “rain and blood, kindness and vengeance; love and hatred intertwined in search of a heart,” which is the official summary of the route the player takes. The endings and story guide keeps that thematic line separate from any ending structure, because none has been published.
The world around Transcension is described by S-GAME as KungfuPunk — martial arts, cold steel, mechanical prosthetics, crumbling industrial ruins, Chinese aesthetics, and modern rock music. It is a style descriptor for the game’s whole action and world presentation, not a classification of this locale.
There is also a confirmed progression loop that a locale like this one would sit inside. Weapons and special techniques are taken from defeated foes, a Phantom Edge is wrested from a fallen enemy rather than bought or found, and the count is more than 30 primary weapons and more than 20 Phantom Edges. Director Qiwei “Soulframe” Liang told 4Gamer that each weapon is bound to one boss, which implies at least 50 bosses. The confirmed weapons page records that relationship in full.
What is still missing for Transcension?
The list of what is missing is specific. There is no official map of Transcension, no layout or area size, no traversal or unlock order, no subregion list, no collectible list, no NPC or enemy roster, no boss assigned to it, and no description of its weather, lighting, or architecture beyond the two Phantom World sentences above.
By contrast, Pangzhen Township is the one place first-party material does describe in detail — a key location, perpetually rain-drenched, rebuilt with NVIDIA DLSS 4 and ray tracing using high-precision 3D models based on scans of multiple ancient Chinese towns. Transcension has no equivalent, so anything beyond the name and its place in the list is currently speculation.
