Inanis' Dreamscape: Phantom World Locale
Inanis' Dreamscape is an officially named Phantom World locale, listed by S-GAME alongside the Wulin, Memory Flowers, Transcension and Discordance.
What is Inanis’ Dreamscape?
The possessive in the name is the only clue the title carries, and a name is not a character confirmation. S-GAME’s Steam store about section lists Inanis’ Dreamscape as one of the Phantom World names, and the official story summary names it in the same list as the Wulin: “Memory Flowers, the Wulin and the Discordance, Transcension, the Lady of the Veil, Inanis’ Dreamscape…”
Nothing beyond that name and its place in the list has been published. There is no official sentence describing the locale, no artwork caption naming it, no developer article about it, and no source that states who Inanis is or whether Inanis is a person, a place, a title, or something else. The locations overview keeps it in the seven-name official set and records “Individual description and map details” as still unrevealed.
The officially confirmed in-game cast is short: Soul as the protagonist and Mó Yuan as Soul’s father and the Leader of the Bastion of Mó. Real people attached to the production, including Donnie Yen and Qiwei “Soulframe” Liang, are credited for their work and are not characters. No Inanis appears in that confirmed list, and the official content status records that no other character has been published.
The two sentences that describe the region
Two sentences in the official store copy describe the space this locale belongs to: shifting light and shadow conceal mysteries at every turn, and exploration features hidden passages and mechanisms.
Both are written for the Phantom World as a whole. The copy does not attribute either of them to Inanis’ Dreamscape, does not describe its lighting or its architecture, and does not state whether the “dreamscape” reading of the name corresponds to anything in the game’s mechanics. The general framing can be quoted as context for the region. It cannot be turned into a room-by-room or lighting-by-lighting description of this locale.
Where does Inanis’ Dreamscape fit in the story?
The confirmed frame is Soul’s sixty-six days. Framed for murdering his master, he suffers a devastating wound to the heart and is left with sixty-six days to live. Alone and hunted, he roams the Wulin to unravel a conspiracy that has ensnored the martial world, through “rain and blood, kindness and vengeance; love and hatred intertwined in search of a heart.” The endings and story guide notes that this is thematic language and not a disclosed choice or ending system.
The confirmed progression around any locale like this one comes from the weapon system. Weapons and their special techniques are taken from defeated foes, a Phantom Edge is wrested from a fallen enemy rather than bought or found, and S-GAME confirms more than 30 primary weapons and more than 20 Phantom Edges. Director Qiwei “Soulframe” Liang told 4Gamer that each weapon is bound to a boss, implying at least 50 bosses. The confirmed weapons page explains how those counts relate to the roster.
The world itself is what S-GAME calls KungfuPunk — martial arts, cold steel, mechanical prosthetics, crumbling industrial ruins, Chinese aesthetics, and modern rock music. The combat and systems guide covers the Sha-Chi resource and the seamless dodge, deflect, counter, and strike flow, none of which is located in any named place.
What is still unpublished for Inanis’ Dreamscape?
No map, no layout, no area size, no traversal or unlock order, no subregion or sub-area names, no collectible list, no NPC or enemy roster, no boss assignment, no identity for Inanis, and no description of what a player sees or does there. The confirmed boss names — Mó Yuan, Seven Stars, Seven Stars Sword Formation, String Puppet, and The Hunt — have not been placed in this locale or any other.
Only Pangzhen Township has a detailed first-party description to compare against, and the difference between the two is stark. Pangzhen is a key, perpetually rain-drenched location rebuilt with NVIDIA DLSS 4 and ray tracing from high-precision 3D models based on scans of multiple ancient Chinese towns. Nothing comparable exists yet for Inanis’ Dreamscape.
